Maid of the Loch is open to the public as a family-friendly historic visitor attraction and as a totally unique venue for events and functions.
The restored Grade A listed Balloch Steam Slipway is capable of pulling the 555 gross ton Maid of the Loch out of the loch. Regular "In Steam" days allow the steam engine and gearing system to be seen in operation.
The Maid and Balloch Steam Slipway are loving cared for by the Loch Lomond Steamship Company, a charity based in Scotland. All staff are unpaid volunteers.

Maid of the LochBallochOnce again, the Great Scottish Swim is returning to Loch Lomond and the Maid of the Loch will be hosting swimmers and guests. This means there will be some restrictions on access to the ship during the event.
Maid of the LochBallochThe Lomond Folk Club will be performing on the Maid of the Loch on Saturday 3 September 2016. Doors open at 7.30 pm with performances starting at 8.00 pm. The evening will end at midnight.
