Maid to SaiL: Restoring the Maid of the Loch
Loch Lomond’s - PS Maid of the Loch
Loch Lomond Steamship Company, better known as Paddle Steamer Maid of the Loch, is a Scottish Charity run entirely by volunteers. We are determined to return our historic ship to sailing again on Loch Lomond. The ship was saved from sinking in 1995 and since then our community of volunteers has spent thousands of hours bringing her back to life. The ship is presently on the Slipway and undergoing major restoration works to her hull and paddles but we are keen to welcome visitors again from Springtime 2026 to the shipyard so they can see for themselves the amazing work underway.
This website tells our story so far and how you can help us continue that story. Make sure you sign up for our e-newsletter below and follow us on Facebook for our latest news.
THE SHIP IS CLOSED NOW AT WEEKENDS UNTIL APRIL 2026. WORK CONTINUES DURING THE WEEK AND WE ARE ALWAYS KEEN TO WELCOME NEW VOLUNTEERS. PHONE OR EMAIL IF YOU WISH TO JOIN US.
